1. Karate Middle Inside Forearm block- when Hanmi & when Makko?
Long lunge stance Hanmi with Oshi- outside of attacker’s arm, then on inside
Long lunge stance Hanmi with Hiki- outside of attacker’s arm, then on inside
Short stance Makko with Oshi- outside of attacker’s arm, then on inside
Short stance Makko with Hiki- outside of attacker’s arm, then on inside
2. Aiki Mune Tori off-balances-
L. Coiled grip- L. hand reaches across, hooks elbow joint, gently presses, then tori turns body to effect an off-balance
L. Normal grip- R. hand reaches inside, then draws into elbow joint as tori’s body turns (left hand rests on other arm) to effect an off-balance
3. Sandan Seiken-
Right-to-Right Outside
Right-to-Left Inside
4. Yondan Seiken-
Turn to Heian 3-style-middle-down-block
OUTSIDE back weighted stance, inside forearm block with intercepting groin strike-
Same INSIDE, then pass to outside using same movement
