2. Aiki meets Karate–Sample of Shodan Seiken

  • Aiki to Karate- kosa-dori irimi kote gaeshi,
  • Karate to Aiki- H2-reverse inside forearm block to o soto gake

3. Hapkido meets Kempo–Sample of Nidan Seiken

  • Low X-block to kote gaeshi, reverse grips to kote hineri,
  • Crossing block slicing at a down angle to kneeling drop

4. Wu Wei meets Minimal Aiki–Sandan Seiken-Right to Right Outside

  • Weight shift to subtle draw/straight punch, Knee drop tobi nage
  • subtle side pressure disengage/straight punch, Hook forearm and partial pass to hit from behind

5. Minimal Motion Seiken-

• Lunge punch or Jab attack-

  • Seiken back stance rib shot to outside
  • Twist in place to short front stance and punch to face
  • Slight kneel to yoko or ushiro kuzushi otoshi OR jump-switch kneel

• Backfist attack-

  • Seiken back stance rib shot to outside
  • Twist in place to short front stance and punch to ribs
  • Slight kneel to yoko or ushiro kuzushi otoshi OR jump switch kneel OR yoko wakare

• Lunge punch or Jab attack-

  • Seiken back stance rib shot to inside, lift inner elbow as threat
  • Pass to opposite seiken back stance, strike face
  • Twist in place, kneel to yoko or ushiro kuzushi otoshi

• Yokomen Uchi attack-

  • Seiken back stance rib shot to inside, immediate pass to outside
  • Twist in place, kneel to yoko or ushiro kuzushi otoshi

• Yokomen Uchi attack-

  • neutral stance elbow up pass from inside to outside
  • check shoulder with right hand, punch with left
